Teachers
- Daymara Ayala is a native speaker from Puerto Rico. She graduated from UAB majoring in English and minoring in Linguistics.
- Dawn Cotner is one of our advanced Spanish students and she incorporates her learning experiences into teaching.
- Miguel Angel Cuevas is a native from Puerto Rico. He has been teaching for 20 years.
- Genesis Jara is from Ecuador.
- Jenitlfer Lopez is from Colombia.
- Melissa Mueller is from Athens, Alabama. She is an interpreter/translator and paralegal. In 2010, Melissa lived in Guatemala for a year where she learned Spanish by taking classes and total immersion.

Fall, Spring and Summer
We will offer the following group classes three times a year in Spring, Summer and Fall if we have minimum of 3 students that sign up. We also offer one on one tutoring for $60 (60 minutes).
Fees: $350 (a service charge will be added when paying with PayPal)
Guided Practice - Spanish all levels - drop in, no registration, $10 cash per person: Saturday: 9-10:30 am or 1-2:30 pm
Spanish Guided Practice is 90 minutes of speaking practice. The practice is for all levels. The cost is $10 (cash) per class. This is a drop-in as desired class, no reservations or future commitments required. Check our Facebook page for dates.

- Spanish 1: Learn the basics of reading, writing, and speaking Spanish! We will go over a bunch of vocabulary and end the class with the present tense. While this is an introductory course, this class is for those who are committed to improve their knowledge of the Spanish language. Studying material and practicing between classes is crucial for your success!
- Spanish 2: This class will be the continuation of Spanish 1. Students will be able to further develop their Spanish skills. We will practice verb tenses, adjectives, and so much more. At the end of the course, a test will determine if students are ready for Spanish Reading and Comprehension class.
- Spanish Reading and Comprehension: Practice what you learned in Spanish 1 and 2. Here we will be reading together as a class and see how much you understand in Spanish. Practicing pronunciation is crucial for learning Spanish. Here, students will practice their pronunciation and comprehension skills when it comes to Spanish short texts. We will use an online PDF of Spanish short stories. At the end of the course, a reading and comprehension test will determine if the students are ready for Spanish Conversation 1.
- Spanish Conversation 1: Further develop your vocabulary and confident of speaking Spanish! This class is for those who can understand common topics or subjects catered to learners but have difficulty responding timely. This class meets 1.5 hour each week for 10 weeks per semester. You must pass the Spanish 1 and Spanish Reading and Comprehension test to join this class.
- Spanish Conversation 2: Continue your journey to fluency, with topics and situations aimed to help elevate your vocabulary. This class is for those who can speak comfortably in Spanish. This class meets 90 minutes per week for 10 weeks.
