Chinese Language Classes
Beginner - one on one, all year round
1). Chinese Phonics class 注音班 for children, one-on-one. Semester runs 10 weeks. Each class is 30 minutes in duration, twice a week. The cost is $310.
2). We offer one on one Chinese class for adults. Each class is 45 minutes, and the cost is $45.
Conversation classes - group, twice a year for spring and fall
Conversation group classes are mixed with adults and children. Parent can take the same class with his/her child with no extra charge. All adults and children have to pass the first level K1 to move forward. You must repeat K1 if you do not meet the criteria of passing. K1 covers 12 chapters for each session using zhuyin only. K2 will start the learning of Chinese characters, K2A covers 6 chapters and K2B has another 6 chapters. Following K2 we will have 20 levels. Students need to do the workbook on each chapter to get full understanding of the contents. We will add a higher level each semester while we might offer a lower level when we have at least 3 students.
Guided practice in the summer. There is no charge for this, but you must be able to read zhuyin to join.
